Dear Eric,
in the name of my mother Christine and my family I would like to inform you about the sudden death of my father Eberhard.
He died on Friday, the 11 th of November, within few seconds, without any suffer, in the middle of a positive phase of recovery
and medical rehabilitation togehter with my mother, after having got over a heart attack.
The rehabilitation time was 3 weeks near Berlin together with Christine, a fantastic time !
Althougth his deathcame suddenly and unexpectedly, he still could reach his target to publish his third book, which cope with his
great demands on his own work.
It is very sad to say, that there will be no further "Mineralogical Masterpieces".
However, for me as his son, it is very inspiring, that he gave me the job to keep and liven up in his sense the chapter
" EBERHARD EQUIT - LIFE´S WORK AND LEGACY".
I will contact you, when the occasien arises, to inform about the next steps.
In memory still find enclosed a photography of my father in his working room.
With my best wishes from Berlin,
Alexander
Otto
