Fossils near the Bornes and Aravis ranges

Bonjour,

 

Please excuse my lack of French (I am a British who has just started to live in France). My partner and I are planning to spend a week in and around Manigod, east of Annecy. I would thus like to seek the member's advice regarding whether there are places in the area where fossils can be found. Browsing through this site yielded one location, namely La Clusaz. The geology is rather complex there as confirmed by the geological maps of the area: Bartonian, Cenomanian, Gault. There seems to be a handful of streams cutting in the base rocks, so I have high hopes. I would be the most grateful if the members could support my anticipations.

Veuillez excuser mon manque de français (je suis un britannique qui vient de commencer à vivre en France). Mon conjoint et moi prévoyons de passer une semaine à Manigod et dans ses environs, à l'est d'Annecy.
